Dear Editor:
I am a resident of Manitoulin Lodge in Gore Bay (a long-term care [LTC] home) for the past one-and-a-half years.
Unfortunately, LTC homes, at the moment, are being painted by a large odious brush in many cases, rightfully so. Not so in this LTC!
The management and staff here are caring, dedicated and extremely pleasant in, at times, a very challenging situation!
It is all fine and good to report abuse and indifference and well it should be. But there are exceptions too—so note!
I came here from Sudbury to be close to my son and I have no regrets to have done so.
