(ESPANOLA, ON) – The Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) would like to advise community members of the OPP protocols regarding obtaining a Motor Vehicle Collision (MVC) report.
Officers are required to investigate MVC’s. If the damage is over $2000, a Collision Report is completed by the officers. This report is available through the Ministry of Transportation and no longer from the OPP. This procedure was implemented two years ago and insurance companies have been advised.
Please advise your insurance company if they request you to obtain this report that officers or detachment staff cannot provide you this information.
