Kenneth George Campbell

Campbell-DeathKenneth George Campbell died peacefully at the Mindemoya Hospital on Wednesday, February 13, 2012 at the age of 75. Ken and Doreen were married on August 9, 1963. They resided in Sudbury where Ken worked as a security guard at Burwash Prison. After six years they returned to Spring Bay. Ken worked for many years at McDermid’s Home Hardware in Providence Bay and at W.J. Sloss and Son’s in Spring Bay. Ken’s hobby was wood crafting. He made many sizes of Manitoulin shaped clocks, and many other woodwork projects including a six foot angel trellis. Ken was well liked by everyone and a good listener. He also knew a little bit to a lot about everything and he gave very good and tactful advice. Ken’s biggest joy was spending time with his family. Beloved husband of Doreen (nee Johansen). Dear father of Tracy McIsaac (Art) and Gloria McAllister (Reg). Proud grandpa of Nicole, Alexandria, Arthur, and great-grandpa of Eli and Zoe. Survived by Eileen Moran (Roy predeceased) and Doug Campbell (Monica) and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by Wanda Anderson (James), Kathleen McAllister (Gordon), AnnabelleMcCormick (Clarence; previous Russell Kennedy), Verzella Jeffkins (Wilbert), Julia West (Clifford), Betty Jeffkins (James) and Lois Jones (survived by Fred). Predeceased by parents Margaret and George Campbell. Visitation will be from 7 pm to 9 pm on Friday, February 22, 2013. Funeral Service will be at 11 am on Saturday, February 23, 2013, all at Spring Bay Pentecostal Church. Donations to Mindemoya Hospital Auxiliary or to Northern Cancer Research would be appreciated.
