Maritime radio training opportunity

If you are out in our fabulous big waters in and around Manitoulin Island, you may have been or may in the future be in a situation where you may be in the need of assistance from outside forces; been there! Good news, the Sudbury chapter of the Canadian Power and Sail Squadron will be holding a one day maritime radio (VHF) course at Kenjgewin Teg in M’Chigeeng.

The course material will be available a couple of weeks in advance to allow participants to get to know the specific details that may include learning the phonetic alphabet prior to the course. The underfive hour review of the curriculum is culminated with a modest test.

The course begins on September 7 at Kenjgewin Teg at 374 Highway 551. The fee is a paltry $125 that includes all materials and licensing costs. Call 705-222-BOAT or visit: facebook.com/KenjgewinTegEducation
