Ingrid Madahbee wins AOK by-election

AUNDECK OMNI KANING—The results of the by-election to fill a vacant seat at the Aundeck Omni Kaning First Nation council table are in and Ingrid Joan Madahbee has been elected councillor.

Ms. Madahbee took 34 of the 110 votes cast in securing her seat at the council table. Janet Gertrude Marie Esquimaux came second with 32 of the votes cast, the remainder of the six member field were Beverly Anne Gail Wilson with 22 votes, Crystal Dawn Patricia Madahbee with 15 votes, Norman Stuart James Obotossaway with five votes and Cynthia Mary Behm with two votes.

Of the 110 votes cast, there were no ballots spoiled according to the report by electoral officer Audrey Stone.
