“A Girl From Wawa, It’s Now Time To Fly – And Be Free”

In loving memory of Lillian Roy, a resident of Sudbury, who passed on to the Spirit World at the age of 50 years. She was born in Wawa, daughter of the late Adam and Dorothy (Peterson) Roy. Lily had worked as an RPN, lastly at St. Joseph Villa in Sudbury. She had a large variety of interests, which included photography, karate (having achieved Black Belt status), playing cards, hunting and fishing, camp life, gardening and flowers and any outdoor activity. She was very athletic, participating in baseball, broomball and ringette to name a few of her favourite activities. Lily will be remembered as a lady who embraced her native culture, was a kind hearted, energetic caring and loving person, who was always there for anyone who needed help. She enjoyed life to the fullest, and loved being with family. Lily fought through her illness with great spirit. Many fond memories will be cherished by all who knew her. Lily is survived by her life partner Rick Morin of Sudbury. Loved sister of Larry Peterson (Joanne) of Kitchener, Adam Roy (Rebecca), Leland Migwans and Lorraine and Sylvia all of M’Chigeeng. Predeceased by brother Russell Migwans. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives. Lily will be cherished by close friends Laura, Erica, Violet, Donna, Red (Linda), Crystal and many more too numerous to mention. Friends and relatives called at Saswaahns Spiritual Centre, M’Chigeeng after 1 pm on Sunday. The funeral mass to celebrate Lily’s life was celebrated on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 11 am at Immaculate Conception Church, M’Chigeeng with Fr. Jim Kelly as celebrant.
