LITTLE CURRENT—The Manitoulin Centennial Manor has received a very good report from the province in regards to the care it provides to its residents, through a ‘work well’ audit carried out earlier this fall.
“This is good news, it shows how wonderful our staff employees are, and the care the residents of the Manor receive,” stated Rev. Mary Jo-Eckert Tracy, chair of the Manor board of directors this past Tuesday.
Ms. Eckert-Tracy explained that the work well audit was carried out by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) and the Ministry of Labour in late October, and she was contacted by the Ministry of Health (MOH) on the findings of the audit.
“We haven’t received the paperwork yet on the audit that was carried out, but we have received news on the audit on a verbal basis from the ministry,” Ms. Eckert-Tracy told the Recorder.
“We passed the audit with flying colours, which means staff are working safely and the residents are safe and being provided very good care,” continued Ms. Eckert-Tracy. “Our residents’ care is our number one priority and this audit certainly reflects this and the great service the staff provides to the residents.”
