Espanola-Members of the Espanola OPP detachment took two more impaired drivers off the road over the weekend after some help from the public.
On November 11, 2012 a vehicle was stopped on Lee Valley Road at midnight after an erratic driving complaint was received. The male driver was found to have been drinking and was arrested for Impaired Driving. A 23 yr old Sagamok, ON man has been charged with Impaired Driving.
Later that same day, officers received an erratic driving complaint on Highway 17 near Espanola. The vehicle was located in McKerrow at 3:00 pm. The male driver was found to have been drinking and was arrested after failing a roadside test.
A 32 yr old Valley East, ON man has been charged for Impaired Driving and will appear in Espanola court on January 8, 2013.
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) encourages anyone who encounters a suspected Impaired Driver to dial 9-1-1.
