Evelyn Virginia Antoine

February 14, 1939 – November 1, 2012

 She was born at Sheshegwaning, daughter of the late Adam and Clara (Niganawina) Endanawas. Evelyn had worked for Great Lakes Steel for 24 years. After 35 years living in the Detroit area, she moved back home about 10 years ago. She had many interests, including Bingo, making blankets, baking (made great raisin pies), gardening and growing flowers and loved her cats and her dog Buddy, who passed away some time ago. Evelyn is survived by loving husband Ken Antoine of Zhiibaahaasing. Loved sister of Martha (husband Jim Hanrahan) of Wiarton, Lillian (husband Frank predeceased), of Sudbury, Christine Endanawas of Sheshegwaning, Cecilia Endanawas of Sheshegwaning, Daniel, Tom and Jonas all predeceased, Joe (wife Maryann) of Little Current, and Clement, David and Francis all of Sheshegwaning. Predeceased also by infant twin siblings. Also missed by many nieces and nephews and their families. Relatives and friends called at the Sheshegwaning Community Complex after 2 pm on Saturday, November 3, 2012. The funeral mass to celebrate Evelyn’s life was conducted at the Complex on Monday, November 5, 2012 at 11 am with Fr. Jim Kelly as celebrant. Interment in Sheshegwaning Cemetery.
