Mike Gravelle

Beloved husband of Betty Ann (Kaattari) Gravelle. Loving father of Kari (husband David Squarzolo) and Don. Cherished grandfather of Craig, Megan, Joshua, John, Jenna, Emily and Matthew. Dear son of Gerald and Marjorie (Archer) Gravelle predeaceased. Dear brother of Ed Gravelle (wife Sharon), Donna (husband Ron Hoseman) and J.P. Bertrand (wife Francine). Sadly missed by loving nieces and nephews. Born in England Mike came here as a young child. He was a contractor owning Gravelle Construction for 25 years previously he worked at INCO for 20 years. He was a member of the Algonquin Lodge AF and AM 536 and the Sudbury Shrine Club. He enjoyed hunting with his buddies in the Cozy Corner Hunt Club in Kagawong, including brother Ed, nephew Cory, Mike L, Dan L, Dan S, Moe and Joe. We will miss Mike’s wake up call first thing in the morning, before sunrise, yelling “Yo Da Lay Eee Ohhhhh”! He also enjoyed spending time at his camp on Trout Lake and watching competitive sporting events. He had many good travels with his motor home. The light of his life will be cherished by all who knew and loved him. Rested at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury. Friends called from 2 pm to 5 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm on Saturday, November 3, 2012 and after 1 pm on Sunday, November 4, 2012. A memorial service was held at 7 pm on Saturday under the auspices of the Algonquin Lodge AF and AM 536. Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, Sunday, November 4, 2012 at 2 pm. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to the Maison Vale Hospice would be appreciated.
