Did anyone have the wool pulled over their eyes on Monday? Companies, friends and family members will come up with gags and everybody will have a good laugh, but nobody will be fooled. We’re all so much smarter now, aren’t we?
The monthly euchre tournament scores for March are as follows: First place winners Bob/Marion with 88 points; second place winners Marg C./Marlaine with 81 points; third place winners Ken/Dorothy with 78 points; fourth place winners Bev/Sally with 71 points; and our last place winners, George/Gayle, and we won’t disclose their points. The winner of the most lone hands was Bob and Marion. Congratulations to all the winners. Don’t forget that the weekly euchre games every Tuesday night does not require that you have a partner, just show up before the 8 pm start time. The last Tuesday of each month is the euchre tournament and you must have your own partner.
Family and friends of Debbie and Gorman Young gathered on Saturday, March 30 for a surprise 50th wedding anniversary party at the Centennial Hall. What a wonderful surprise it was for them to be able to celebrate with everyone. Congratulations and best wishes for many more years together.
It sure is nice to see and hear the signs of spring. The waves can be heard crashing on the shore again. The Canada geese are back and the seagulls and other birds can be heard chirping in the morning. Just remember, if you’re feeding the birds and your feeders are empty every morning don’t be surprised to find out that it’s our local deer coming every night and emptying them on you.
