‘A Rat Packed Christmas’ a great night of entertainment

GORE BAY—The Gore Bay Community Hall was packed to the gills this past Saturday evening as ‘A Rat Packed Christmas’ hit the stage.

It was definitely a not so ‘Silent Night’ as the two comedians, James Godfrey and Ken Finn, and crooner Thomas Finn, ushered in the holiday season with ‘A Rat Packed Christmas Comedy Hour.’

The trio had the crowd of 110 in stitches with their many different skits and their great music. This is a very talented trio.

The Rat Pack was the name given to three of the greatest entertainers America has ever seen, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. During Saturday’s show there were also appearances by Elvis Presley, an appearance by David Bowie and many others.

There were several Christmas songs thrown into the song set, providing for a great mix of music along with the great comedy.

Let’s hope this trio visits Gore Bay many more times in the future. Great entertainment.

The evening’s show was sponsored by the Gore Bay Recreation Committee and the event was organized by Annette Clarke and Stasia Carr, with Walker Maskel and Andrea Emmerton helping with lighting and sound.
