Ministry Seeks Public’s Help in Five Cases of Shot and Abandoned Moose

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is seeking the public’s help in identifying the individual or individuals responsible for shooting and abandoning four cow moose and a bull moose in an area north to northwest of White River.

Between September 7 and November 1, 2018, conservation officers became aware of five moose shot and abandoned at several locations along the Road 50 loop. Officers located:

  • A bull moose off Road 50, approximately two kilometres from North Reagan Road
  • A cow moose near kilometre nine on Road 100
  • A cow moose 12 kilometres down North Reagan Road, off Highway 17
  • Two cow moose six kilometres down North Reagan Road, off Highway 17.
