Elaine Mary Moore nee Hocken, loving wife of Wallace Moore. Proud and loving mom of Andrew (Heather), Jason (Jennifer) and Terri Dawe (Lester). Proudest granma of her precious grandchildren Lacey, Billie May, Isabella, Hannah, Hunter and Hank. Daughter of Lloyd and Kitty Hocken (both predeceased). Sister of Lloyd (predeceased) and Allan Hocken of Little Current. Sister-in-law to Russel Moore (Janet) and Sherry Sinclair (Don) of Little Current. Elaine enjoyed her nursing career of being an RPN in Sudbury, Sault Ste. Marie and on the Island for the Wiky Nursing Home, VON Home Care, Manitoulin Centennial Manor and both sites of the Manitoulin Health Centre. She retired in 2012 to have more family time with grandchildren. Took a hiatus from nursing for 10 years while she acted as the bookkeeper for Moore Bros. Auto Sales and Service Ltd. She enjoyed motorcycle rides with her husband Wally in the summer. She enjoyed home life of painting, reading, crocheting and taking walks. She especially looked forward to spending time with her family so she could cook, bake and play games with them. She was an active member of the Manitoulin Health Center Auxiliary, the Little Current UCW, church council, Eastern Star, Red Hatters and enjoyed her Tai Chi classes. Elaine will be missed by nieces Stacy (Dan), Carrie Ann, Laura (Richard), Jenna (friend Dustin) and nephew Adam (Lisa). Also grandnephews Nicholas, Brady, Brett, Colton, and grandniece Lauryn. Family and friends will gathered at Island Funeral Home on Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 2 pm until 4 pm.
