MANITOULIN—With a relatively new chill in the air, and the fall colours at 20 percent for Manitoulin (according to some online reports), The Expositor’s annual Harvest Glory Days friendly community decorating challenge deadline will be extended until Friday, October 12.

This newspaper has heard reports of community work bees and great family efforts and is hoping that people will take the time over the Thanksgiving Weekend to put the finishing touches on their display, but don’t forget to let us know!

Please see the registration form on Page 8A of this newspaper or found online at manitoulin.ca to make sure that your business or property is included on the Harvest Glory Days fall cruising map, and that our judges see your fall finery.

Looking for inspiration? Take a Thanksgiving Weekend trip around Manitoulin and check out what communities like Providence Bay, Assiginack or Silver Water have been up to (the trio that make up last year’s winning communities).

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone, and happy decorating too!
