MANITOULIN—Several Manitoulin Special Olympics (MSO) athletes have qualified for the 2019 provincial winter games.

The 2019 Ontario Special Olympics (OSO) Winter Games are to take place in Sault Ste. Marie on January 31-February 3, 2019.

Five MSO athletes will be taking part in the games for the Northeast Region team, in snowshoeing. They include Bruce VanHorn, Dayne Tipper, Mark Dokum, Matthew Bedard and Norman Daoust.

All five MSO athletes qualified for the provincial games due to their results in the Northeast District games held earlier this year.
