M’CHIGEENG—The date for the Manitoulin Island All Candidates’ Night has been set for this coming Tuesday, May 15, once again at Manitoulin Secondary School—offering your chance to ask questions and get to know the candidates in the upcoming June 7 provincial election.
The event, once again hosted by this newspaper, will see NDP candidate and incumbent Michael Mantha, PC candidate Jib Turner of Little Current, Green Party candidate Justin Tilson of Honora Bay and Northern Ontario Party candidate Tommy Lee on stage at the MSS cafetorium where they will be given the opportunity to discuss their platforms, debate one another and take questions from the audience.
The Libertarian Party’s Algoma-Manitoulin candidate Kalena Mallon-Ferguson was also invited to attend, but will not make the date.
Norm Morrell, retired MSS vice-principal (and popular Manitoulin auctioneer) will be the moderator for the event.
The evening, which gets underway at 7 pm at MSS, will be moderated. Refreshments (donuts and coffee) will be provided.
