MHC Auxiliary News

Mindemoya Hospital Auxiliary is gearing up for another busy year. Our first event of the year will be our Second Annual Beef Dinner. This will be held on April 14 at 6 pm at the Missionary Church in Mindemoya. The beef will once again be supplied by Burts Farm. The price will be $25 per person and you can contact Judy Mackenzie at 705-377-4323 for tickets. Or contact any auxiliary member and they would love to get you tickets.

Our next event will be the Spring Luncheon and Bazaar to will be held on May 12, which is Mother’s Day weekend. Rev up your sewing machine or knitting needles or oven. If you have any donations for the event let us know. Our craft table is getting a little low on stuff.

We will also start a quilt raffle as soon as we figure out what second and third prizes will be. Tickets will be available at the Spring Tea.

All members are working together to make the regional conference a success. We will be looking for silent auction items in the near future.

Recently, we donated $33,835 to be used in the hospice suite at the Mindemoya Hospital. Also, we honored our commitment to the Telemetry Campaign with our second donation in 2017 of $50,000.

Our meetings are the third Wednesday of the month at 7 pm in the board room downstairs in Mindemoya Hospital. All are welcome. Please note that the March meeting will be on March 14 (a week early) due to scheduling problems. The meeting on April 18 will be our volunteer appreciation meeting. So, if you have volunteered for the auxiliary in the past, come on in for cake and coffee!
