In loving memory of Gary Pitawanakwat, a resident of Sheshegwaning, who passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the age of 54 years. He was born in Sheshegwaning, son of the late Remijius and Irene (Niganawina) Pitawanakwat. Gary had a great love for music. He loved to play his guitar and sing. Many great times will be remembered and cherished of Gary entertaining at get-togethers. He also enjoyed beading, looming and all other crafts. He was very active in his community, helping elders, whether it be painting, flooring or building a deck. He loved to visit with people and socialize. Gary had a wonderful sense of humour, and his smile and his presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Gary is survived by his loving and loved sisters, Lorraine Pitawanakwat, Gail Panamick and Deborah and Dorothy Pitawanakwat. He will be sadly missed by his numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends. Relatives and friends called at the Sheshegwaning Complex after 2 pm on Tuesday, August 28, 2012. The funeral mass to celebrate Gary’s life was conducted at the Complex on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 11 am. Cremation to follow. Online condolences may be left at www.culginfuneralhome.ca.
