MASSEY–On Saturday, August 25, members of the OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, Sudbury Drug Enforcement Unit and the Sarnia Police Service conducted a vehicle stop in the Town of Massey that led to the seizure of 131 pounds of marijuana.
Investigation revealed that two individuals were returning to Sarnia from British Columbia with a large quantity of marijuana. The vehicle was located in the Town of Massey and as a result, two individuals were arrested and a search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of 131 pounds of marijuana along with $12,635 cash.
The street value of the drugs seized is $ 1,198,220.
Charged are a 44-year-old man and a 42-year-old man, both of Sarnia, each with possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.
