MANITOULIN—A group of classic Chevrolet car owners will be celebrating their 25th anniversary on Manitoulin Island this Haweater weekend. The club is known as the Canadian Classic Chevys and is comprised of 1955 to 1957 Chevrolet owners from all across Ontario.Â
The group will start arriving the Thursday before Haweater with approximately 27 members booked into Little Current area motels. The club has a full agenda while on Manitoulin with several cruises planned to various destinations around the Island. The club’s plan also includes an appearance at the 15th Annual Little Current Lion’s Haweater Cruise-In on the Saturday of Haweater as well as an appearance at the Friday evening Cruise-In in downtown Little Current. The Friday evening Cruise-In is in recognition of the 50th anniversary of The Haweater Festival and will start at 6 pm and is open to the over 30 out-of-town cars that have arrived early for the Saturday Haweater Car Show on the waterfront.Â
