What’s zooming in Tehkummah Township?

Writer has concerns about numerous issues at the municipality

To the Expositor:

Who’s zoomin’ who?

I am writing this letter to clarify what has been said to, and what isn’t  being told to the ratepayers of Tehkummah Township.

Reeve Eric Russell is on record as saying the town books are flush and we paid cash for the plow truck and the municipal truck.

The plow truck was purchased via a loan.

The municipal truck was purchased via a loan.

The marina does not have 100,000 dollars invested in it. Reeve Russell stated there are new docks. Is there another marina besides South Baymouth? There are no new docks. These docks are poor at best and year after year, there are less docks put in the water. There are countless floats and docks abandoned in the back of the marina.

The books of the marina, which is public knowledge, appear to have “discrepancies” with them.

The process for the marina attendants was flawed at best. The interviews for the positions were to be performed on Tuesday, May 23 starting at 6 pm.  The reeve saw fit to cancel the interviews at 3-ish that afternoon.

Why? What is on his agenda? Was this done to “sour” the original applicants?

There are countless things with the reeve and some of the council that will come to light, I am sure. I personally signed the letter requesting that the Ministry of Municipal Affairs steps in and does an audit on the books. A full forensic accounting of the books must be done.

Just don’t pee on me and tell me it’s raining.
