HENRY PETER BELMORE SR.

Henry Peter Belmore Sr., age 73 years, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2017. Born October 6, 1943, Henry spent most of his life in Thunder Bay and is a member of Gull Bay First Nation. His interests included casino games, playing cards, crosswords, going to the library, and spending time at the Dew Drop Inn with his friends. Henry was a carpenter and cabinet maker prior to retirement and he played guitar. Henry will be lovingly remembered by his sister Gladys, his brother Maurice (Isabelle), sons Kevin, Henry Jr. and Bradley (Tammy), daughters Brenda (Jordan), Janice (Frank) Abbott, Christie-Ann (Derek) Bernard and Janette Bernard, as well as numberous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and one great-grandchild, mother of his children Irene (Ralph) Bernard. Henry was predeceased by his partner Claudette Gamsby, his parents Alice (nee Pitchagabow) and Oliver Belmore, his brothers Joe, Johnny and Michael, his sisters Edna and Irene and his son Craig Bernard. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4 pm to 5 pm on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 in the Chapel of Sargent and Son Funeral Home, 21 North Court Street with Rev. Larry Kroker saying a prayer at 4 pm. A celebration of Henry’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dew Drop Inn.
