MARIE SLOSS

Marie Sloss, of Spring Bay, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday May 20, 2017 at Mindemoya Hospital in her 69th year. Beloved sister of Ken (Sally Blackburn-Sloss). Marie will be sadly missed by her nephews Bryan (Susin), Brent (Chani) and Brad, as well as her great-nieces and nephews Shayna, Madelyn, Tori, Hannah, Samuel, Stephen, Blake, Shekinah, Judah and her pride and joy Babe. Predeceased by her parents Verdun and Lillian (Barnes) Sloss and her sister-in-law Alberta Sloss. Marie attended the Spring Bay Pentecostal Church, where she was always willing to lend a helping hand. She will be sadly missed by the community of Spring Bay where she was a tireless volunteer. Marie also enjoyed gardening, preserving, helping Ken on the farm and thoroughly loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. Ken and the boys will miss their “cleaning partner”. A visitation will be held at the Spring Bay Pentecostal Church on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 from 10 am until time of the funeral service at 11 am. Interment Long Bay Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Spring Bay Pentecostal Church or Pet Save Manitoulin as expressions of sympathy and may be made through www.simpsonfuneralhome.ca.
