Learning opportunities

Working in collaboration, OMAFRA’s Food Safety and Traceability Programs Branch (FSTPB), Agricultural Development Branch (ADB) and Environmental Management Branch (EMB) have developed a series of free online courses that provide flexible education and learning opportunities. These courses will provide producers, processors and Agri-food businesses with information to: reduce risk to businesses and their customers; suggest ways to improve efficiencies; learn more about industry best practices; develop a more competitive edge and access new markets; help businesses grow. All of the courses are delivered online and are self-paced, can be taken any time, from anywhere internet access is available, limited time commitment with some courses designed to take just 20-30 minutes to complete. Courses currently available: Food Safety Foundations; Food Safety Foundations; and The Basics of Traceability. Courses coming soon: water use, worker practices, maximizing your traceability investment, growing your farm profits, sanitation, recall, personnel and profiting from traceability.
