Central Manitoulin youth archers win provincial medals

MANITOULIN—Two members of the Central Manitoulin Archery Club have proven their mettle against the best archers in the province and have won medals for their efforts.

Landon Seifried of Kagawong won two gold medals, in the PeeWee Male compound category in both the IFAA Indoor Tournament and the OAA 10-Ring Tournament.

In the PeeWee Male Compound division, Mr. Seifried placed first overall with a total of 222 points (and two x’s), while in the OAA 10-Ring Tournament he garnered a total of 533 points to take first place.

Local archer Noah Holmes also placed with a bronze medal in the Pre-Cub Male compound category for the IFAA indoor tournament. He finished third in his division with a total of 252 points (and 11 x’s).
