Man charged with assault in domestic disturbance
On the evening of April 4, 2017, members of the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a 911 call reporting a couple involved in a verbal dispute at an Assiginack Township residence.
Police attended the scene and a man was arrested following the investigation. No injuries were reported to any of the involved parties.Â
A 68-year-old Assiginack Township man has been charged with assault, contrary to section 266 of the Criminal Code of Canada.
The man appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice in Gore Bay on April 7.
