Ordinary citizens are losing their rights to protect themselves
To the Expositor:
Freedom of the press is starting to become an issue. Governments cannot block or use gag orders against reporters. It is their right to report their findings to citizens; it’s about democracy. Citizens have the right to know what is going on within our governments, sometimes that’s how they get caught with their criminal activities behind closed doors. It is usually somebody within the government who will snitch; they know it’s wrong to do this against the citizens and it’s good to have somebody like that with the government.
Honest people—I wish we had more of them in government. We just have too many back stabbers in the governments. That is why nothing ever goes right for them—too many lie—and that’s why nothing ever goes right for them.
The trouble in this country is that there is no honesty with our governments, they are abusing the law and they are using it to own advantage. Ordinary citizens are losing their rights to do something to protect themselves.
