Providence Bay News & Notes

In the fall, we were inundated with forecasts of a long, hard winter, but so far this hasn’t been the case. We sure had a warm spell in February that has even confused the geese who have returned to our winter wonderland. There have even been reports of people that have already collected and boiled down some sap to make delicious maple syrup. Then we were hit with a wicked snow storm last week that blanketed the area with another foot of snow and brought back frigid temperatures. This caused many to speculate that March has come in like a lion. We can only hope.

The winners of the monthly euchre tournament were as follows: First, Bill and Laura with 94; second, Marcel and Deanie with 80; third, Ken and Marilyn with 80 as well; and fourth was Donna and Eva with 77 points.
