Re. cap and trade
No singular should have possession of such an unprecedented amount of taxpayers’ money!
Never before in the history of accounts receivable/payable administered by a provincial government has there ever been such an amount of dollars to be collected. This money started flowing to our Feds (Canadian Liberals) on January 1, 2017. In return, they vow to toss it back to their equals in provincial (Ontario Liberals) government. Here’s to hoping in its entirety!
The claims of “It’s so small a tax, no one will even notice” makes me (and I’m sure most Ontarians) nauseated. If we had a nickle for every time we’ve heard that bovine scatology we’d have their billions!
A transparent and auditable, accountable, separate from all else ledger must be kept by Ontario government(s) for this potentially humongous cash cow! You shall not be premier forever, Ms. Wynne!
Justin Trudeau’s government has offered a princely sum for mental health, home care on top of a 3.5 percent annual increase. Wow, take it and run! Grade 3 voters’ math tells us that it has got to be equal to the 5.2 percent sought by the provinces. It is not popular because that awesome amount is attached to accountability to our feds. Just try and get mental health and/or home care on Manitoulin Island for the most likely thousands that really need it!
Justin Trudeau wants you (and the next, and so on) to be accountable for the billions of dollars he’s going to give you for our provinces’ badly needed health care.
Now, since 01/01/2017, the provincial government is accountable to us for the receipts and disbursements of our cap and trade tax dollars!
