Gore Bay welcomes Christmas with Ladies’ Night shopping

GORE BAY—Now in its ninth year, the annual Gore Bay Ladies’ Night is helping the West End of the Island get ready for Christmas.

“The Ladies’ Night was organized as a way to offer the local businesses a fresh way to promote themselves close to the holiday season…with a fun approach,” said organizer Kristy Carlson, owner of Former Flame Consignment.

Women of all ages have the opportunity to take part in the event, which runs on Thursday, November 17.

Participating vendors will open their doors from 6 to 9 pm for the event, with various specials, prizes and treats available.

Twin Bluffs will have specials and a door prize draw and will be open from 5 to 7 pm.

Woods Bros. will be offering 25 percent off any purchase over $20.

M&R Jewellery will also be offering 25 percent off any purchase over $20.

Robertson’s IDA will have 10 percent off regular priced items, in-store specials, a door prize draw as well as some treats and Christmas items.

Former Flame Consignment will be offering 10 percent off all purchases as well as a draw for a Kate Spade bracelet.

Central Pharmacy will be hosting sales and in-store specials, Christmas items and a door prize.

Quintina’s will be opening its doors to the public for the first time in their new location Thursday night, showcasing both old and new offerings.

The Source will have colouring pages to pick up for their kids’ colouring contest (running through to December), as well as a draw for a portable Samsung wireless phone charger.

Royal Canadian Legion Branch 514 will open its doors for appetizers and specialty drinks until 9 pm.

Jaguar Spirit will be keeping their doors open past their regular time for women to shop their Aromaki natural product line.

Life’s Simplest Pleasures will have various specials throughout the store, including 30 percent off Christmas fabrics, 50 percent off quilters flannels, selected batiks $12.95 instead of the regular $21, and an assortment of finished items 50 percent or more.

Island Goods will be opening its doors for customers to check out their selection of bulk, organic, local and natural food products.

Susan’s Upcycled Glass will be taking up residence in Island Goods for the night with a selection of hand cut, etched and upcycled glass.

Split Rail Brewery will also be opening its doors outside their regular time for Ladies’ Night.

Codmother’s will be offering 15 percent off all orders, as well as a draw for a gift basket.

Loco Beanz will invite people in to warm up with new holiday drinks, discounts and snacks as well as a Country Fest Ticket raffle (draw will happen at a later date, but Ladies’ Night is your opportunity to get your name in first).

Ultimately Chocolate, which will be setting up shop inside Loco Beanz, will have a variety of their specialty artisan chocolates available, including their trademark chocolate Toffle.

June’s Scentsy will also be taking up residence in Loco Beanz, with a variety of ‘safe scent’ based products for ladies to peruse.

It Works! will be joining the crowd inside Loco Beanz with a variety of It Works! products being showcased.

Stepping Stone Toys will open its doors with 20 percent off regular priced items, tasty treats and a door prize draw.

Twice as Nice will host a 30 percent off store wide sale all day (10 am to 9 pm), with snacks and gifts as well.
