In loving memory of Herb Cook, a resident of Evansville, who died at the Mindemoya Hospital on Saturday, July 7, 2012, after a lengthy illness, at the age of 69 years. He was born in Germany, son of the late Herbert and Irmgard Scheutze. Herb was a locomotive engineer, worked in refrigeration, was a great mechanic, and had owned his own business in Hamilton, before he and Pat came to Manitoulin in 1983. He was a “Jack of all trades” and his favourite pastime was working on vehicles. Herb also had a love of animals. Herb is survived by his beloved wife Patricia. Loving father of Cindy and husband Jay Caputo of Hamilton, Rodney and his wife Brenda of Edmonton, Kenneth and his wife Rhonda of Brantford and Herbert Jr. and his wife Amy of Victoria, BC. Predeceased by daughter Angie. Proud grandfather of eight. Dear brother of Renate and Carolyn both of Germany. In keeping with Herb’s wishes, cremation will take place, with a private family service to follow. If so desired, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. Online condolences may be left at www.culginfuneralhome.ca. Culgin Funeral Home, Gore Bay, 705-282-2270.
