Man struck by off-road vehicle results in charges

M’CHIGEENG–On the evening of Saturday, July 23 the UCCM Anishnaabe Police and the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police were dispatched to the scene of person being stuck by an off-road vehicle on M’Chigeeng First Nation.

A seasonal resident of M’Chigeeng First Nation was struck by a male person driving an off-road motor vehicle causing some minor injuries. As a result, a 35-year old M’Chigeeng man was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and uttering threats. The investigation is still ongoing and more charges are pending.
