JAMES “JIM” THYNE MACKENZIE
FEBRUARY 11, 1936 – JULY 16, 2016
James “Jim” Thyne MacKenzie passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Manor, Elliot Lake, on Sunday, July 16, 2016 at the age of 80. Beloved son of Andrew and Ada MacKenzie, and brother of Albert Barker. Loving husband of Georgina MacKenzie (all predeceased). Survived by his loving children Dawn MacKenzie and Bruce of Espanola, Dianne Bender (MacKenzie) and Alan of Elliot Lake, Jamey MacKenzie and Susan of Manitowaning, predeceased by daughter Sandra.
Will be greatly missed by grandchildren Kaila Franson (Coulter) and Steve, Cody MacKenzie, Casey O’Brien (Madill), Cathy O’Brien and by great-grandchildren MacKenzie Franson, Jordan Franson and Haley Madill. Proud member of AA and friend of Bill W. At James’ and the family’s request there will be direct cremation with burial at Hilly Grove Cemetery.
