M’CHIGEENG FIRST NATION–During the morning of May 18, a break and enter occurred at a residence located in Pinewood Park on M’Chigeeng First Nation.
The break and enter was reported to police, where it was determined that someone entered the residence and took prescription medication. It is believed that the prescription medication was the target of this crime. Approximately 70 morphine tablets are unaccounted for at this time.
The prescription medication stolen may cause serious bodily harm or death if ingested. If you believe that someone may have ingested any medication that has not been prescribed to them, they will require medical attention.
Police are aware that the abuse and sale of prescription drugs continues to be of huge concern to the well being of people in our communities. Members of the public are urged to take extra precautions in the care of legal and prescribed medications.
