Espanola – On May 15, 2016 at 6:00 p.m., a 22-year old male from Manitoulin Island was stopped on Highway 6 near Kei Will Drive, by a member of the Espanola Police Service, for traveling 111 km/h in the posted 60 km/h.
As a result of his excessive speed, the male will have to attend Provincial Offences Court in Espanola on July 14, 2016, to answer to charges of Stunt Driving. In addition to being charged, he also received a 7-day licence suspension, and the vehicle, owned by his father, was impounded for a period of 7-days pursuant to statute.
