OFA bursaries

Three new bursaries in the amount of $3,500 per recipient are available for students of OFA families who are entering or currently pursuing a post-secondary education in an agriculture-related program. The bursaries are part of this year’s events and activities to mark OFA’s 80th anniversary. The funds were raised at the 2015 OFA Annual General Meeting silent auction and Harvest Tailgate Celebration 50/50 draw. The bursaries will be awarded regionally, selecting one student from each region. The regions include Northern, eastern and southwestern Ontario. The amount of the bursary is $3,500 per student. Eligible applicants include students of OFA families from across Ontario. Applicants should be able to demonstrate volunteer and industry related accomplishments, an interest in agriculture and rural issues, community involvement and satisfactory academic performance. Application forms and all supporting documentation must be submitted to OFA by August 1, 2016. Direct link: http://www.ofa.on.ca/bursary  for application forms.
