Writer is sick of the big hole from Concession 6 south to Concession 8
An open letter to the reeve and council of Tehkummah:
I have lived on 109 Lakeshore Road for many many years. We use to have the best roads by far on Manitoulin, but the last few years our roads have been slowly getting in a hell of a mess and this year are by far the worst I have ever seen.
The folks on this road live on the lakeshore and pay big tax dollars. I think they have a right to a fair road and would like for the council and reeve to take a tour down 109 and see for themselves. Better bring a farm tractor because you may lose your car in one of the holes.
Guess while I’m at it, one other thing we should look at in the summer; we put gravel and dirt on our roads and in the winter we plough most of the gravel into the ditch. For those who may not believe me, take a tour down our road and have a look. We have a new reeve and some new council, so let us do some of the things; we were at the hall just before election time.
Sorry about this but I’m sick and tired of driving my vehicle through that damn big hole from Concession 6 south to Concession 8.
