A resident of Mindemoya, Manitoulin. Died peacefully at Health Sciences North, on Wednesday, March 23rd, 2016 at the age of 76.
Born to Ellen (nee Coe) and Wright Leeson, in The Slash, on August 2nd, 1939. Beloved wife of Neil Middaugh. Loving mother of Freida (Murray Tann), Lois, David (predeceased 1982),Roxanne (predeceased 1988) Gwen (predeceased 2015), and Patricia. Proud grandmother of Meghan, Kaitlyn, Kristopher, Terri, Ryan, Craig, Devin, Bailie and Rylie. Cherished great-grandmother of Everley, Olivia, Braxton, Madeline, Nicholas, Nate and Ty. Dear sister of Weston Leeson (Gail), Moyra Size, Donna Phillips, and Rozella Chapman.Will always be remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Carole was a great volunteer, helping at anything she could. She was the president of a Big Lake Community Association, was the past president of the Big Lake Women’s Institute, a member of Michael’s Bay Society, a councilor for Sandfield Township for many years, a member of Tehkummah Seniors Triangle Club, a member of the Red Hats. A member of Cornerstone Christian Assembly, she helped with Wheels on Wheels in Manitowaning, and with Neil ran a food cart at all the auctions. She was famous for her bread, baking and relish. Family and friends will gather at the Tehkummah Triangle Club. Visitation was on Sunday, March 27th from 7 to 9 pm.
Funeral Services took place on Monday, March 28th, 2016 at 11:00am, Rev. Rodney Deforge officiating.
Burial will be at Hilly Grove Cemetery. Donations to the Mindemoya Hospital Auxiliary or Cornerstone Christian Assembly would be greatly appreciated.
