MACLEAN, Rev. Rollande “Rolly”
Peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family and friends at the Sault Area Hospital on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at the age of 68. Beloved wife of Keith for 43 years. Cherished mother of Janice MacLean (James Wabigan), and Leslie MacLean-Galka (Stanley). Proud Nana of Alex, Ian, Katherine, Aaron and Neil. Daughter of the late Alcide and Blanche Gagne. Dear sister of Louis Gagne (Lynn). Sister-in-law of Heather MacLean and Kari Easthouse (Nadine) and family. Aunt of Marc Gagne (Felicity), Michele Losty (Steve) and their families. A Celebration of Rolly’s life was held on Wednesday, March 23, at Emmanuel United Church in Sault Ste. Marie, Rev. Nancy Ferguson officiating.
Rolly studied at The Centre for Christian Studies and was commissioned to diaconal ministry, by Manitou Conference. Rolly is fondly remembered by the congregations of St. James-in-the-Valley, All People’s United, Trinity-Capreol, Trinity-Chapleau, Bar River and Echo Bay (London Conference), and the Mindemoya Pastoral Charge where she was currently serving. Mindemoya Pastoral Charge will hold a Memorial service in her honour. The date to be announced.
