GORE BAY—The LaCloche-Manitoulin Business Assistance Corporation (LAMBAC) has been awarded a seed grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) to implement a pilot project, Growing Local: Food and Farming Business Support, in collaboration with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) and Eat Local Sudbury Co-operative.
Information sessions will be held in Mindemoya in the council chambers on Wednesday, March 2 from 1 to 3 pm and in Espanola on Friday, March 4 from 1 to 3 pm upstairs in the recreation centre. New and expanding farmers, producers and value-added processors are urged to attend these sessions to find out more about this exciting project and how it can help your business.
