MANITOULIN—Your community newspaper has done it again. Last Friday afternoon, the finalists in the 2016 Better Newspaper Competition Awards were announced, listing The Manitoulin Expositor as a finalist in two categories.
The May 20, 2015 Section Front titled ‘The Shift’ has been nominated for Best Photo Layout. The Shift features the photography and story of Giovanni Capriotti as he spent the day with the captain and crew of the Purvis Fisheries’ vessel The Purvis, plying the waters off of Providence Bay in search of whitefish.
And for the fourth year in a row, The Expositor’s website www.manitoulin.ca has been nominated for Best Community Website/WebPortal.
The Expositor’s ranking (first, second or third) in these competitions will be announced during the annual Better Newspaper Awards Competition as part of the Ontario Community Newspapers Association conference on April 22.
