ESPANOLA—The Manitoulin-Sudbury District Services Board (DSB) has released its 2016 municipal apportionments to its member municipalities.
Fern Dominelli, CAO of DSB, told the Recorder after a board meeting last week, “the overall increase in our budget for 2016 was 1.47 percent, or a total of $150,497.”
The board passed the 2016 budget at its October meeting.
The following shows the amount each municipality will provide in apportionment toward the 2016 DSB budget, and what percentage it is of the overall DSB apportionment for 2016: Assiginack, $354,779.00 or 3.42 percent; Gordon and Barrie Island, $264,283 or 2.55 percent; Cockburn Island, $19,564 or 0.19 percent; Billings, $348,629 or 3.36 percent; Central Manitoulin, $764,069 or 7.36 percent; Burpee and Mills, $140,741 or 1.36 percent; Tehkummah, $141,573 or 1.36 percent; NEMI, $1,127,882 or 10.87 percent; Gore Bay, $145,274 or 1.40 percent; Killarney, $592,041 or 5.70 percent; Baldwin, $107,978 or 1.04 percent; Chapleau, $179,881 or 1.73 percent; Espanola, $1,260,841 or 12.15 percent; French River, $1,159,485 or 11.17 percent; Markstay Warren, $530,917 or 5.11 percent; Nairn and Hyman, $157,375 or 1.52 percent; Sables-Spanish Rivers, $629,255 or 6.06 percent; and St. Charles $389,921 or 3.76 percent.
