Condolences go out to Don Tonery and family on the recent passing of his mother Millie.

The turnout for the monthly breakfast at the curling club was great. Thirty-two breakfasts were served. Most were the loyal regulars but Ruby and Larry Ince from down country were there enjoying it. The monthly breakfast is held the first Thursday of every month as a fundraiser to offset operating costs. Thank you to everyone for their continued patronage.

We wish Doris Cress a speedy recovery now that she is home after having surgery in Sudbury.

It was a busy weekend at the beach and boardwalk as many people took advantage of the beautiful weather. Some people were seen building and transplanting garden beds, some were having bonfires, and others were out putting Christmas lights up and trying to make it look festive even though there is no snow yet. How wonderful for some but ice fishing and snowmobiling may be delayed if this weather keeps up.

The white tailed deer hunt is now closed for another year. Some hunters were successful and others are still thinking of the one that got away. I’m sure that there are many plans already in place for next year’s hunt.
