GF2 Producer Information Sessions

Come to an information session Thursday, November 19, 7 pm at the Spring Bay Hall, to learn about the Growing Forward 2 Funding Assistance for Producers Program. Growing Forward 2 (GF2) is a five-year federal-provincial-territorial initiative designed to encourage innovation, competitiveness and market development in Canada’s agri-food and agri-products sector through cost share funding opportunities.

This information session will provide an opportunity to learn about continued funding opportunities for Ontario Farmers under GF2, eligibility and evaluation requirements, as well as how to complete an application form. NOHFC Tile and Land clearing project No. 2

Producers interested in participating in the second consortium should contact Brian Bell at 705-282-1638 or brian.bell2@ontario.ca for indication of intent and to begin the paperwork. The administrator for this project (LAMBAC) expects to submit a stage 1 proposal to NOHFC before Christmas.

Growing Forward 2 Application intake

Next round opens November 16, 2015. Get a copy of the processor or producer guidebook to learn how to prepare a successful application today! Visit ontario.ca/growingforward2 or call 1-877-424-1300 to get a copy mailed to you. Individual businesses may be eligible to receive up to $350,000 over the life of the program. What we are looking for: Projects that align with one of the six key areas of focus; well written and well-documented projects; all required permits for the proposed project are in place; new projects, capital investment on the project has not yet started. Six areas of focus for funding: environment and climate change adaptation (pg. 14 in guide); business and leadership development (pg. 49 in guide); animal and plant health (pg. 20 in guide); market development (pg. 36 in guide); labour productivity enhancement (pg. 44 in guide); assurance systems; food safety, traceability and animal welfare (pg. 25 in guide).
