‘Shantaram’ by Australian author Gregory David Roberts is an extraordinary novel. The writer’s respect for and knowledge of his adoptive country, India is very evident and extremely obvious on every page. This book hooks the reader from page one. It is one of those stories that you just don’t want to turn the last page on. A great read!
