CLIFTON “DICK” FREEMAN

Clifton Ernest “Dick” Freeman, 81, formerly of Goderich, passed away in South Huron Hospital, Exeter on Tuesday, September 8, 2015. He was born at Tehkummah, Ontario on February 25, 1934, a son of the late Ernest and Mildred (Russell) Freeman. He had been a 30-year employee of Hoffmeyer Plumbing and Heating in Goderich. Dick is survived by his wife, the former Lois Madeline Allin of Clinton; three daughters, Christine and husband Cleon Brubacher of Elmira, Jennifer and husband Kent Baer of Seaforth, Sarah and husband Matt Weicker of Grassie; five grandchildren, Mathew Mewhinney, Jessica and Travis Baer, Jorja and Kam Weicker; two brothers, Earl and Conrad; five sisters, Gelena, Lorraine, Marion, Myrna and Brenda; many nieces, nephews and their families. He was predeceased by two brothers, Larry and Lynn; three sisters, Mildred, Elizabeth and Margaret Ann.

There was no funeral home visitation or funeral service at this time. A service and interment will be in the spring of 2016 on Manitoulin Island. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated and may be made through the Francis Funeral Home, Box 208, Tavistock, Ontario N0B 2R0 or by calling 1-519-655-2431. The family extents “special thanks” to the management and staff of Queensway Retirement Living and Long Term Care, Hensall and South Huron Hospital, Exeter for their loving care given to Dick.
