George Robert “Bob” Brammer, 74 of Huntington, West Virginia, passed away on June 26, 2015 at Michael’s Bay, Ontario. He was born in Huntington, West Virginia on February 22, 1941. The son of the late William Oliver Brammer and Hazel Virginia Bing Brammer. He is survived by his fiancée Mary Harvey Wilson Midkiff, son Beau Robert Brammer, two brothers, W. Greg Brammer and Charles David Brammer. After making numerous visits to Manitoulin Island in 2000 he bought a summer home at Michael’s Bay and enjoyed many summers there with family and friends. Bob was deeply committed to his family, friends, and community. He was an avid fisherman, photographer and gracious host. Bob’s Manitoulin friends were never far from his thoughts. Their help and friendship towards Bob will always be remembered. He leaves behind many people who will greatly miss his kindness, patience, generosity and ever-present smile. He was a truly humble man. A celebration in memory of Bob’s life will be held at his summer home at 82-A Pennie Avenue, Michael’s Bay, Ontario on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 2 pm. The family welcomes friends to come and be with us as we remember Bob.
