Wemigwans DeathIn loving memory of Leona Hazel Wemigwans (nee Trudeau), 71 years, who passed away at the Wikwemikong Nursing Home on Sunday, June 28, 2015 with her loving family at her side. Loving wife of Francis Wemigwans (predeceased). Cherished mother of Kim (Dave), Deborah, Darin (predeceased), Sidney (Kim), Francis Jr. (Andrea) and Warren. Treasured grandmother to 23 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Beloved adopted daughter of Joanna “Annah” Trudeau and Joseph Trudeau (both predeceased) and biological mother Nellie Shigwadja and Hector Shigwadja. Beloved sister of Stella (Bill), Peter, Clifford (Kim), David (Shirley), Harriet “Kwadoe” (Dwight), Edward (Jodi), Stanley (predeceased), Henry (predeceased), Gladys (predeceased), Dennis (predeceased), Clarence “Chim-Boy” (predeceased), Larry, Ambrose, Paul (predeceased), Thomas, Lawrence (predeceased) and Isadore “Paddie” (predeceased). Leona worked at the Wikwemikong Nursing Home as a cook, PSW and as a medical driver for the Health Centre. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to casinos, visiting relatives and her grandchildren. Rested at St. Ignatius Church, Buzwah, Ontario. Friends called Tuesday, June 30, 2015 after 3 pm. Funeral Mass was in Holy Cross Mission, Wikwemikong, Ontario, Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 11 am. Interment in the Old Wikwemikong Cemetery. Donations to the Wikwemikong Nursing Home would be appreciated in her memory.
