Granny as she was affectionately called by family and friends, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2012 at the Manitoulin Health Centre in Little Current, Ontario in her 90th year, with her family and friends by her side. Rosalie was predeceased by husband Alvin Victor Scott (Scotty) and five children Carolyn, Gerry, Terrance, John and Robert. Mother of the surviving children Gordon (Connie), Ronald (Carol), Darrel, Colleen, Cyrenne (Denis), Colin, Kelly (Dan), Hal and Tracy (Andy), along with Maeanne her daughter-in-law. Grandmother to 27 children, great-grandmother to 16 children and a great-great-grandmother to one child. Rosalie was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and enjoyed sharing Bible truths that she had learned with others. She will be remembered by many for her compassion, kindnesses and her generosity, freely expressed to all she came in contact with. The family wishes to sincerely thank the doctors and nursing staff at the Manitoulin Health Centre for their exceptional care of Rosalie during her brief stay at the hospital. A memorial service was held at the Little Current Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 51 Wilson Street East on Saturday, March 3, 2012.
